A project framework across products has been launched by a team of an architect, a planner, and a carpenter, when each one’s interests and questions in everyday practice come together at U-35 Architects Exhibition in 2019, Osaka, Japan. Tamotsu Ito envisioned designing a set of exhibition’s fixture not only as a fixture, but also a furniture to be used after the exhibition. Moe Donaka introduced him a carpenter Shota Nozaki, who could make the furniture with his team, as well as had a bunch of left-over timber materials (Koppa, in Japanese.) The design is determined with what is available, and how the function should be. Moe named the overall framework as KOPPA.
